Bridal Expos Australia host Melbourne’s leading Bridal Expos that leave people inspired, informed and excited about planning their special wedding day. Redsteps had the pleasure of working alongside Bridal Expos Australia in order to deliver two brand new features to the Melbourne Bridal & Honeymoon Expo in July 2017 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
After researching and following trends within the bridal and wedding industry, we created a newly branded Fashion Parade, with a modern, floral, garden wedding theme. This style and theme has been popular for weddings in 2017 and therefore we wanted to showcase these elements to further solidify that Bridal Expos Australia are on the pulse of bridal trends and wedding inspiration.
The stage for the fashion parade was designed by Redsteps, alongside our stylist CR Design and Style and suppliers Place Settings and Parker Road. Together, we worked to create a lively and upbeat runway show in which the audience would enjoy and remember. This was highly successful with over 1000 attendees in awe of the stunning gowns and suits across the two parades, with very positive feedback received from viewers in the audience.
As well as this, we invented a new section to the Melbourne Bridal & Honeymoon Expo, calling it the Bridal Experience Lounge. The brief was to help Bridal Expos Australia stand apart from their competition and provide an element of something original to their expos. We brainstormed the idea of putting together a space for brides and grooms to indulge and feel spoilt; creating a different atmosphere within the Expo and providing more value to those who attended. The idea of this was to place specific exhibitors in the Lounge, who were willing to give the patrons an ‘experience’ that they offer, in order to secure strong leads and potentially bookings on the day. This made for a much less ‘in-your-face’ sales approach for the exhibitors. The feedback we received from exhibitors and guests about this space was overwhelming! The space was buzzing with brides-to-be and their friends and family making the Lounge a go-to area of the expo (who doesn’t love a bit of pampering!?).
Redsteps also managed all of the social media and digital content surrounding the fabulous Melbourne Bridal & Honeymoon Expo day, including social media content creation pre-event and live on the day, social media advertising, website updates, blog posts and more! Both Bridal Expos Australia’s Facebook and Instagram accounts received a lot of engagement and their advertising was highly successful in generating Expo awareness and ticket sales.
Overall the Melbourne Bridal & Honeymoon Expo was fantastic! We always have a ball when it comes to events and this one took it to the next level!!
