Lynbrook Village is a shopping centre located in the South East of Melbourne with over 15 retailers. The marketing manager for the centre regularly conducts and organises activities and activations that locals can get involved in at the centre; keeping customers engaged with the centre and Lynbrook Village connected with the local community.


Redsteps previously assisted in coordinating the previous themed markets for Lynbrook Village, with the centre now making the market event a bi-yearly occurrence for the local and wider community to enjoy. The Lynbrook Village Easter Market 2019 was the sixth Evening Market the centre has held since late 2016, with this being their most successful market yet.


For this event, Redsteps sourced, organised and managed nearly 30 stallholders, ensuring stalls offered a range of products relevant to the target audience of parents with children and the Easter Market theme.


Along with stallholder management and sourcing, Redsteps promoted the Lynbrook Village Easter Market event across Lynbrook Village’s social media channels, including:

  • Posts to the Lynbrook Village Instgram page
  • Posts to the Lynbrook Village Facebook page
  • Facebook advertising / post boosts
  • Facebook event page creation and management
  • Email to the Lynbrook Village email database (EDM)


Overall the event was a great success, with:

  • 27 stallholders
  • Over 1,600 people ‘interested’ or ‘attending’ on the Facebook event page
  • Excellent engagement in the form of likes, comments, shares and tags pre-event, during the event and post event
  • Email open rate higher then the retail industry average


All proceeds from this event were donated to the Royal Children’s Hospital.
