Lynbrook Village is a shopping centre located in the South East of Melbourne where the marketing manager regularly conducts activations in the centre. By conducting regular events and in-center activations, this ensures the customer engagement levels remain high and keeps the centre connected to the local community.

Redsteps previously assisted in coordinating the Christmas and Easter themed markets for Lynbrook Village, with the centre now making the market event a bi-yearly occurrence at the centre for the local and wider community to enjoy.

 

Because of the previous success of these events, Lynbrook Village engaged the assistance of Redsteps to coordinate a November Evening Market for the lead up to Christmas. The event included a jumping castle, appearance from the Redsteps Santa, over 15 market stalls coordinated by Redsteps as well as food trucks, live music, flash mob from a local high school, choir performances, children’s arts and craft activities and a charity donation to the Royal Children’s Hospital.

 

In addition, Redsteps also assisted in promoting the event through managing the Lynbrook Village Evening Market Facebook event page, creating social media content, Facebook advertising and an EDM that received fantastic feedback and results through the form of engagement and event ‘interested’ clicks.

 

Overall, the Lynbrook Village Evening Market event was a great success with fantastic attendance and feedback from the community.

 

Results:

  • Over 704 people “interested” and 129 people “attending” on the Facebook event page
  • Event page reach of 22,000
  • Over 500 attendees
  • 18 market and food stalls
  • EDM open rate of 37.7% (much higher than the retail industry standard)
  • Family activities
  • 100% success
