Redsteps had the opportunity to work with a local neighbourhood retail shopping strip located near the beach in Melbourne’s east. The owners had worked with Redsteps for a number of years and reached out to get Redsteps to build and manage their shopping centre social media.
The social posts for Facebook were focused on the local area and the retailers. Redsteps visited the stores every few months to take new photos of their product, offers and staff to keep the shopping centre social media content fresh and up-to-date.
After taking over, the page followers and overall engagement climbed 300% over 3 months. Our team have been strategically placing advertising budget on specific posts that we have found work extremely well within the community, as the local community reacted and engaged positively with posts that involved community events, happenings, competitions and specials.
Each month, a retailer was chosen to be featured and a campaign was run to target their store and promote a giveaway on their behalf. This not only helps the retailer sales, but also the online hype for the shopping centre.
