5 ways to keep your social media pages fresh over summer
Summer is FINALLY here! (with the exception of Melbourne’s bout of rain…thank goodness that is over now!) And with summer comes some relaxing time off to celebrate the holidays and time to rejuvenate to be ready for the New Year!

1. Run a competition or giveaway
What better way to get your followers excited about your brand then with a competition!? Running competitions regularly can be a great way to keep followers engaged. People love seeing the words “free” and “giveaway” so use that power to get people to interact with your business.
PLEASE NOTE: when running social media competitions, you will need to look into terms and conditions, and come up with a fun way to enter that doesn’t conflict with the social media platform’s rules and regulations.

Although the thought of creating and editing a video can seem daunting, do not panic! Short little snippets or even boomerangs are a great way to show off your business in a cool and fun way. Video marketing is highly popular, so why not give it a go this summer and see what engagement you get?
3. Create a how-to or tutorial
Get creative and show your followers you’re a master in your trade by showing them how it’s done. Whether it’s how to style accessories, create a succulent garden or change a tyre, this is a great way to show off your knowledge whilst providing followers some great takeaways they can use one day.
4. Make a meme
Have a funny photo you have taken at work? Why not make it a meme!? People love sharing, liking and commenting on memes, so this could be a great way to get some additional engagement on your social media pages over summer.
5. Show your followers what happens behind the scenes
Having a boogie in the office? Brainstorming? Unpacking deliveries? Show your followers! This is a great way for followers to see what you do that no-one normally sees. This will give your followers a better understanding of your brand, and can makes you relationship with your followers more personal.
